Terms of Use
Please read these terms before downloading or using Neat Quit. They describe the purpose of the software, the scope of the licence and the limits of responsibility. If you do not agree, stop using the app and delete it.
1. The service
BGM is an independent software studio that provides the bgm.fun website and the Neat Quit macOS app. When the last standard window closes, Neat Quit sends a normal quit request to the target app. You may also enable ⌘W smart quit and an exceptions list.
The app is currently free to download and needs no account. Version, release date, system requirements, installer size and SHA-256 on the site come from the official release channels so you can verify them before installing.
2. Licence scope
Subject to these terms, BGM grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Neat Quit on your macOS devices. Rights in the software, its icon, interface, copy and website content belong to BGM or the respective rights holders.
You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute a modified version as if it were official, and you may not remove signing, notarization or copyright notices before redistributing. You may back up the installer for personal use and share links to the official download page.
Neat Quit Pro is a one-time licence for up to 3 Macs and includes all 1.x updates. The licence is for the purchaser’s personal use; deactivate an old Mac before moving to a new one. You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked; see the Refund Policy. Creem processes refunds as the merchant of record.
3. Conditions of use
- Neat Quit requires macOS 13 or later and Accessibility permission granted in System Settings; the optional ⌘W feature may also require Input Monitoring.
- The app works through normal quit requests and does not force-quit processes. Unsaved-document prompts, save dialogs and close confirmations remain the target app's responsibility.
- When an app's accessibility information is incomplete or a window type cannot be determined, the click keeps the system's default close behavior. Apps in the exceptions list always only close their window.
- You are responsible for confirming that the target app behaves as expected and for keeping backups of important data.
4. No warranty
The software and website content are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, BGM makes no express or implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation or compatibility with every app. We sign, notarize, verify the installer and run basic functional tests before each release, but we cannot guarantee that every system version, accessibility configuration or combination of third-party apps will work without issues.
5. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, BGM is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of or inability to use the software, including data loss, interruption of work or loss of business. Where liability cannot be fully excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the software; it is currently free, so that amount is zero.
This section does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law, such as personal injury caused by intent or gross negligence.
6. Updates and changes to these terms
We may release feature updates, fixes or stop maintaining older versions. Updates may change system requirements or permission descriptions; release notes and the changelog will be updated accordingly. If these terms change materially, we will update the date at the top of this page; continued use means you accept the updated terms.
7. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law rules). Disputes arising from these terms should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if that fails, they shall be submitted to a competent court where the BGM operator is located.
